Nature's Joyful Glory
Mary Harrison’s journey into the world of professional art has been a lifelong calling rooted in faith and perseverance. From childhood, she found joy in sketching everything around her, with art classes shining as the highlight of her school days. Though early discouragement kept her from pursuing art in college, her passion never faded.
Years later, while navigating life as a single parent and facing cancer for the second time, Mary felt God open the door for her to pursue a Master’s in Fine Arts—a turning point that led to a fifteen-year career teaching art. Those years deepened her love for both creating and inspiring creativity in others.
Now a full-time professional artist, Mary devotes her work to giving praise and glory to God, reflecting the beauty of His creation through her stunning oil paintings of wildlife, birds, butterflies, flowers, and sweeping landscapes. Her recent collections focus on the tender bonds between mothers and their young in nature—symbols of love, protection, and gentleness that echo divine design. Additionally, Mary is renowned for her heartfelt pet portraits that capture the unique spirit of beloved animals. A true believer in Albert Einstein's statement that "Creativity is intelligence having fun," she expresses, "When I am in my personal space of creating beauty, that is when I am the most happy, at peace, and filled with fun-loving joy!" Through seasons of challenge and grace, Mary has learned that every swish of inks, every drip and wash, every brushstroke, and every sparkle of powder can be an act of praise, inviting viewers to glimpse the fingerprints of God woven throughout creation.
